Hannah's visit to the CathedralWe had the honour of sending a representative from Girlguiding West Glamorgan to Llandaff Cathedral to take part in the Service of Prayer and Reflection for the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Hannah from Neath Rangers says… I had the amazing honour of being invited to attend the Service of Prayer and Reflection for the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The whole experience was so uplifting, like a true celebration of the Queen’s life. It was a complete privilege to be amongst so many inspiring people whilst attending a powerful and historical event. I will never forget this. |

County Activity Share Drive:
With the advancement of technology and always with an eye on ensuring the safety of our girls are always at the front of our thinking, County have decided to set up a Google drive as a file share for activities and resources from Units, Disrict, Division and County to share with others within the County.
Here is the link to the file share:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FFyh2Um5EUOxUEys7wnuo4eGK3xMxw61?usp=sharing
To get something added all you need to do is email it to [email protected] and we will add it to the folder for each section, this is just so that we can monitor what goes onto the folders to ensure that it is appropriate. *Please note that no pictures of young members will be added to the drive*.
If you have done an activity that your girls really enjoyed, and you think other units would enjoy it to then email them to us.

Vintage Christmas Craft day
In November girls from all sections enjoyed a Vintage Christmas Craft Day in the Scout & Guide HQ, Brynmill. Ladies from West Glamorgan Trefoil Guilds taught the girls a wide range of crafts from Cards and Calendar making, to Peppermint Creams and Sugar mice.
The day was attended by over 60 girls who also learnt about the Welsh tradition of Mari Llwyd, made junk horses heads and played some Victorian Parlour games. A big Thank you to Pauline and her amazing team for making the day a big success. |
